UPDATE: The little Bird Twitter says No Kona for 2011…. So the last duel of Macca Vs Crowie will be at Abu Dhabi…
May be Macca enjoyed so much his little race at the SSTRIGP and he wants more ?
Apparently, this is not a joke. Macca thinks the Olympics are missing on his career resume and even if he is not fast enough for a medal, he wants to help Australia to get one 🙂
Read on the Daily Telegraph article (Australia) here.
We should see him on ITU events this year to collect the mandatory points for the Olympics qualification.

I hardly doubt that Mecca can run with the ITU big boys anymore. He will most likely pull Kahlefeldt along during the bike as Jenkins did for Whitfield.
Hi Scott, I think every Olympic medal hopeful will try to use the approach you mentioned. But indeed, I don’t think Macca is capable of droppin a low 30/high 29 min run split off the bike. He will, however, be a very able domestique for whoever the Australian team decides to send to drop the hammer on the run!
the question is… how many spot. if 2, NO WAY. if 3, yep.
Hey Craig, How are you?
x2 !
He still have to place somewhat well « on his own » to get the points this year on ITU events … will love to follow that !
