Update on Findlay and her second finish at the national.
Findlay did not taper for the Kelowna event the way she would have for one of the WCS events. Normally, she would cease hard training five or six days prior to a competition, giving her body time to recharge.
For the Kelowna race, Findlay trained hard right through Wednesday in Victoria.
She is aiming to be in top form for the WCS Grand Final in Beijing on Sept. 11. A top-eight result there would automatically earn her a berth in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Honestly, I find a little sad that Sarah Anne Brault don’t get more credit for her win. It’s sad that the media are more talking about Findlay coming back in form that the superb performance of Sarah Anne. When you are running 34:11, you are strong! Way to go Sarah-Anne!
