About 4 years ago, See Worthy inc, a little company from Toronto, ON, discovered a wonderful swim goggles product.
From Taiwan, but not yet distributed anywhere else. They took over the worldwide distribution, and thankfully for us, they started in Canada!
Very quickly the Sable WaterOptics goggles (RS101) became a reference in the triathlon scene in Ontario and within seasons crossed the provincial borders. You will find them now in most tri-store specialist, including USA. Last year, they opened other countries as well.
The product is just great ! It was directly described as the « Oakley » or « Rudy Project » for goggles.
Crisp, clear lenses, flat/zero distortion above and under water, baked on (and not just sprayed on) super antifog, multiple adjustments, lifetime warranty of most parts. What else can you ask from a pair of goggles ?
After a few years of success, it was time for Sable to introduce the new version of their « racing » models.
Only 4 pairs are in circulation. Some went to athletes like Sam McGlone, Jordan Rapp, etc … and Trimes.org managed to get their hands on the last pair!
The latest from Sable has been named after the fastest moving animal on the earth, the Falcon (320kph), or Sable 100.
So what are the differences with the actual model ?
The lenses are very similar to the previous model 101. But Sable has redesigned just about every other part of the assembly. And like everything else in the industry, the direction taken was to create a lower-profile product.
In order to achieve this, Sable has lowered the size of the silicon gasket, which brings the lenses closer to your eyes, it will also increase your vision angle.
No carbon? :p
