Ottawa based Sportstats acquires Race Headquarters

Sportstats, North America’s largest sports timing company, has acquired Vancouver-based Race Headquarters.
According to a statement from Sportstats, the acquisition means the Ottawa-based company will time more than 500 events in 2012 – up from the 350 events the company timed in 2011.
Since its beginnings 21 years ago, the company has been involved in more than 1,800 races, including some of the world’s largest marathons and most prestigious triathlon races. Included in the Sportstats race portfolio are marathon races in Honolulu, Ottawa Marathon, Toronto Waterfront, Toronto Marathon, Montreal and Quebec. The company has also timed more than 80 Ironman races, including the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii since 2004.
