Yesterday, we learned about Andrew Yorke, of Hamilton Ont. , who had just been selected as the team alternate for the London Games. After overcoming a spinal infection in 2008, Yorkey has been consistently Canada’s fourth man over the past couple of years and recently had a breakthrough performance on the World Cup stage with a 6th place in Huatulco after a gutsy bike.
We are still looking to find who is the women’s alternate, we don’t think it has been anounced yet…maybe it has? If TriCan did anouce it, you can tell us in the comments below.

A lot of people talked about British Triathlon and their strategy to get medals in London. We recently posted about A. Brownlee’s point of vue, but according to Stuart Hayes (3rd man, who should race as a domestique):

Also the 2012 track trials are less than a week from now (June 27-30). The entrie are up the the event’s website. One of our favorite runners and two-time NCAA champ (5k and 10k 2012), Cam Levins, will be the heavy favorite going into the 5k.
